You gotta be kitten me: Pakistan politicos feline silly after filter farce hits purrrfect conference
Claws out as slippery-pawed cameraman renders officials with cat ears and whiskers
A political party in Pakistan is suffering the indignity of internet memedom after someone left the cat filter switched on while live-streaming a press conference.
The offending video was quickly deleted from Facebook but not before screengrabs were saved by dozens of people.
The Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party was streaming the conference from northwest Pakistan.
But pink cat ears and whiskers were superimposed onto the local boss's face.
So this happened today when PTI's SM team forgot to turn off the cat filter while live streaming a press conference on Facebook. @SAYousafzaiPTI looks kinda cute pic.twitter.com/IjjJrua7DL

Rather defensively, dare we say cattily, Shaukat Yousafzai told AFP that officials on either side of him also got the feline filtering.
According to KP government’s social media team we now have a cat in the cabinet #Filter pic.twitter.com/LNl7zwOfLU

The party was founded by cricket legend and current prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
PTI blamed human error for the cat-astrophe. One Twitter user suggested making cat filters mandatory for all future political coverage starting with the UK parliament. ®
