Jared Leto takes Shape in San Francisco

Starry lineup for Tech Expo at AT&T Park

Promo Shape, a jam-packed Tech Expo, takes over AT&T Park in San Francisco on July 15 and 16.

The event is organized by AT&T and features a starry line up of speakers, including Jared Leto. The Hollywood actor who doubles up as a tech entrepreneur joins a panel that discusses how tech is rapidly changing the landscape of digital entertainment.

Come along to the event and tune into discussions about the impact that technology will have on all our lives. Join the audience for inventor Ray Kurzweil, a man who wants to live forever and who thinks that our ultimate destiny will see humans merge with machines. Check out Nate Silver, the nearest thing the world has to a celebrity statistician, who will deliver his take on big data. Listen to Dr Fei-Fei Li, the director of the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab, who will talk about how her team is “teaching” a computer to see.

There is something for everyone at Shape, especially tech professionals, developers and their families:

  • Get down and dirty with emerging technologies such as robotics, wearables, and virtual reality.
  • Turn your ideas into apps and win a share of over $100K in cash and prizes at the Hackathon.
  • Get your kids into a Maker Camp organized by Maker Faire.

You can also attend live pitching sessions to see “technologists, innovators, and dreamers show AT&T what the future is made of.” The grand prize winner gets $50,000. No pressure there, then.

Shape has two passes that cover both days of the event: Expo, costing $50, and premium version Expo Plus, which costs $250. Children aged 17 and under go free.

Entry for the Hackathon and the Maker Camp is also free.
