Musk: 'Tesla's electric Model S cars will be less crap soon. I PROMISE'

19 March software update will apparently end 'range anxiety'

Billionaire biz baron Elon Musk has promised Tesla's Model S customers that the electric cars will shortly receive a software update "to end range anxiety".

The Register has previously reported that 'leccy motor fans fear being stranded in the middle of nowhere without juice.

As our own Vulture at the Wheel Simon Rockman explained, this is "all to do with the ratio between how much you can use it and how far you are from the nearest place where you can charge it."

Tesla is planning to issue some kind of update this week – though details were naturally kept under wraps.

Musk, never a one to shy away from publicity, simply offered up this teaser via his Twitter account.
