HP poaches latest ESSN EMEA boss from Logica

Pins hopes on Peter Ryan outlasting his predecessor

HP has nabbed Logica's chief client director Peter Ryan to operate as EMEA senior veep of the enterprise, servers, storage and networking (EESN) biz group.

Ryan replaces previous incumbent Frederic Dussart, who quit the job after just three months and handed over the reins on an interim basis to Johan Deschuyffeleer, SVP EMEA for the technology services (TS) division.

In a statement sent to El Reg, HP confirmed Ryan's appointment, saying: "In his new role he will be responsible for HP's aggressive growth plan across the ESSN portfolio."

This will be in coordination with Deschuyffeleer as the vendor tries to push through greater alignment between its enterprise kit and services units.

"Peter joins HP from Logica ... where he served as Chief Client Officer with group responsibility for sales, marketing and innovation," HP added.

The US tech monster must be crossing its fingers that Ryan is in situ longer than Dussart, and longer than the 10 months he spent at Logica. Prior to that he worked for more than four years at Sun in various senior roles.

Dussart has yet to surface at another employer. ®
