If internet had existed before we were born would we be here now?

Web is like a pizza box, for sure

April Fool Today is tomorrow and yesterday is today in this online world where we all bump together along the way.

The web is where everything is possible. If the newspaper is today's fish and chip wrapper then the internet is tomorrow's pizza box.

But looking for scraps of news in the pepperoni can be hazardous even for those enlightened among us to surrender our souls to that local disconnect that connects us all.

It is true that the internet makes us journalists free, the fact that we once had to wait for our stories to reach readers tomorrow is no longer real, but instead different.

But old men in their ivory newspaper towers won't die yet. It is a fight we have to make. To get there is a big journey, for sure! Building high rise elevators that take us to helicopters that will land one and all on the all-seeing internet is where we must be at.

There are real obstacles in our way and the fight isn't yet, it is possible. Bring news and technology together as one will be the answer, this is right.

Algorithms are the future as much as robots are the past. These things co-exist uneasily alongside the Jeremy Paxmans of this world. But we can beat that.

Anything is possible, here, now. On the web. Always. Tomorrow. Today. ®
