Spike Milligan's work has found a new home, with content including mobile wallpaper, ring tones and audio books, all available though Rok Global Media.

Milligan is, arguably, best known as one of the Goons and quotes from The Goons are available as ring tones, along with Spike's sketches of the major characters from the series – as mobile wallpapers.

Spike Milligan wrote most of the of the 250 episodes of the Goons, certainly contributing to his series of nervous breakdowns, but he also created a huge quantity of cartoons and poems, and some of the former have been animated as screensavers and wallpapers on the site (http://www.spike-milligan.com/).

The man himself was notoriously anti-technology, as Norma Farnes, his agent for 36 years, explains "Spike … disdained all gadgetry, including radios that didn't have just three knobs one to turn it off and on, one for tuning and one for volume"

But being able to download his seven-volume war diaries as audio books, at £4.50 a shot, seems the best use of mobile technology we've encountered for a while, just be careful laughing on the tube as people will think you are a nutter, rather than just listening to one.
