Oz motorist reacts rather testily to small todger slur

Road rage attack provoked by 'little pinkie' gesture

An Oz motorist who reacted to a woman's suggestion that he was somewhat lacking in the trouser department by throwing a bottle at her was fined A$400 for his trouble, news.com.au reports.

The victim of Simon Jardak's road rage had provoked him by making the "little pinkie" gesture championed by NSW Roads and Traffic Authority's highly successful anti-speeding campaign, which includes this vid:

Jardak threw the offending bottle while driving over Sydney's Anzac Bridge in August, earning himself an appearance in Balmain Local Court. He told the court he'd felt "emasculated" by the woman's hand gesture, explaining to magistrate Bill Bryden: "She started doing that hand gesture, you know, the RTA one. And it offended me... because of, you know, ‘small’... she implied I had a small penis."

Bryden said that while the gesture "may not be appropriate", Jardack really shouldn't have "thrown the bottle out of his window". He added: "I’m not saying in any way that [the hand gesture] was justified. But too often we see people who are reckless with their actions. It was a stupid piece of behaviour by the accused."

Jardak agreed, pleaded guilty to maliciously damaging property and took the fine like a man. ®
