PWC devours cloud consultancy Outbox Group

You want Oracle? Microsoft? Saleforce? Boxes ticked

PwC is the latest big consultancy to grab a piece of the cloud action by hoovering up integrator Outbox Group, a European firm that specialises in CRM, marketing automation and IT maintenance.

After maintaining a watching vigil, the big consultancies are starting to fork out cold hard cash for cloud services outfits - late last year Accenture gulped down Cloud Sherpas.

The Polish HQ’d seller of fluffy white services also has operations in UK, France, Germany and the Czech Republic. It carries top level certifications from Microsoft, Oracle and Salesforce.

PWC UK and EMEA consulting leader Ashley Unwin said the buy will help it set up a cloud “Centre of Excellence” for European customers looking to move some applications to the cloud.

Some 250 Outbox Group staff will move on PWC's payroll once the deal is closed, including MD Nicholas Mobbs, who will join as a partner.

According to Mobbs the European market for customer experience, CRM and digital is estimated at over €6bn. “We see this growing even in challenging economic times,” he said.

The financial terms of the acquisition, which closes next month, were undisclosed.

PWC acquired management consultancy Booz & Company (now Strategy&) in 2013 and managed services provider Mokum in 2014. ®
