ANI takers for Asus website virus?Taiwan's Typhoid MaryPublished Friday 6th April 2007 22:18 GMT Asus.com.tw, the website of Taiwanese motherboard maker Asustek, has been spraying visitors with the .ANI virus, security software makers confirmed today. Which is not nice. At first sight, it looks like the Asus site was hacked. "The virus is contained with an iframe added, which leads to the recent ANI exploit," Kaspersky Labs notes. "The URLs in the exploit variants which we've detected are currently down." Phew. According to Reg readers, the Asus site has tripped up their anti-virus software programs for at least three days. "Still, says one reader, "it may be an improvement over some of their driver releases..." Ouch. ® 2 comments posted — Comment period finished This is not the first time Asus Taiwan has infected usersPosted: 05:15 7th April 2007 Asus.com runss Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft IIS 6Posted: 14:32 7th April 2007
