U.S. e-tailer CDW has added StoreVault's S500 storage array to its shelves, the two companies announced today.
StoreVault is a division of NetApp who's flagship S500 system is targeted at small and medium businesses. The S500 is a low-tier array that can connect to NAS, SAN and DAS boxes. It's a 2U, 12-slot system that supports 250GB or 50GB SATA drives starting at 1TB and scaling to 6TB. Pricing starts at $5,000 for 1TB of raw storage.
Illinois-based CDW is a computer hardware, software and supplies reseller.
The announcement says the S500 is available immediately, although CDW requires customers to call for availability and pricing. ®
